Training Classes Offered

Basic Dog Obedience Training- The goal of this class is to teach your dog to behave in the home, in public, and in the presence of other dogs at all times and under all conditions. Basic commands such as watch, sit, stay, down, stand, and come will be taught. Exercises and commands taught will facilitate desirable behavior in all situations!

AKC Novice Level Obedience- This class is for owners who wish to participate in actual American Kennel Club competitive events for Titles and Awards. Dogs entering this class should already have completed basic obedience training. Exercises include heeling on a leash and figure eight, stand for examination, heel free, recall, long sit and down to name a few

AKC Beginning Rally-This is a fun, informal, and less demanding class for dogs who have had some basic obedience training. In Rally Novice, handler and dog complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The handler may talk to, praise, and use body signals as the team follows a series of signs around the ring indicating what they are to do such as sit, turn, slow pace, fast pace, spiraling, or halt.

Classes are offered in 10 week sessions

Sessions are $200.00 each

All classes are 10 weeks in length. Minimum enrollment for each class session is 6; maximum is 10.

All dogs must be current on vaccinations. Please bring a copy of your dog's vaccination certificate to the first class if you did not provide it at registration. Required vaccinations are Rabies, Bordatella, and DHLPP.

Please do not let your dog play with classmates before class begins. Even if your dog has good intentions, some dogs may be nervous and may not want to play or interact. Socialization may be a part of our camp program but your dog must learn that there are ways he can make this happen.

Children are welcome to watch but should be supervised and able to sit quietly during the training hour.

Accidents can and will occur. In order to maintain a healthy, safe camp environment you are required to clean up after your dog.

Sorry, but there are no restroom facilities available for humans after 5pm.

HAVE FUN! BOTH YOU AND YOUR DOG SHOULD HAVE A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS!
